Major/Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all marketing and public relations strategies regarding Student Organizations and Student Involvement programs.
  • Present programs and other appropriate educational outreach activities to student organizations, advisors, incoming students, and the campus community.
  • Responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs to train and support Student Organizations and Student Org leaders.
  • Advance philosophies of student development and cultural diversity and actively promote diversity in
  • programming and student development.
  • Facilitate the development of working partnerships among organization leaders, members, and advisors. Encouraging participation in programs to enhance the success of students.
  • Ability to conceptualize and prioritize objectives, exercise effective judgment, and organize work effectively based on an understanding of university/divisional/department policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a contact for 600+ student organizations in the areas of registration, training, programming, and advisement.
  • Oversee all Student and Graduate Assistants for Student Involvement office.
  • Maintain statistics and data for reporting purposes for Student Involvement.
  • Provide TechConnect training and support for students and departments across campus.
  • Ability to integrate information, policies, and resources for the determination of alternatives, procedures, solutions, and other outcomes associated with the coordination of programs and services.
  • Facilitate the student organization and service awards process. Responsible for planning & implementation of Student Org Awards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate degree in student personnel/student affairs or related field is preferred.
Experience and active involvement with student organizations on a college campus is preferred. Graphic design experience preferred.
