We have an excellent opportunity for a Development Specialist in our Dallas office.

The Development Specialist will work on fundraising activities, event planning, and coordination of activities for women's initiatives. Other office related duties include managing donations; budget maintenance and monitoring; data entry, basic accounting duties, and mail and phone coverage; preparing handouts, meeting materials, reports and presentation materials, as needed; maintaining address and committee lists; coordinating mailings related to events; and, providing computer support on all MS products including Word, Publisher, Excel, Outlook, People Soft, Seibel, Kintera, and Greater Giving.

Starting salary based upon experience. We are an EOE in a non-smoking environment.

Required Skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Must be willing to work evenings/weekends when necessary for events
Experience in meeting management and event coordination
Excellent written business communications and skill with computer applications
Ability to anticipate and satisfy customer needs
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ability to creatively and effectively solve problems
Ability to work with all levels of AHA staff and volunteers
Ability to lift and transport materials and other supplies as necessary

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus one year experience in fundraising or outside sales
